CIO KLUB, an initiative of CIO Association registered in Mumbai with councils in Mumbai, Delhi and Pune, has launched councils in Bangalore and Chennai. CIO Association and its initiative of CIO KLUB is a nonprofit organisation managed by CIOs from various organisations in India and has presence across the country.

"The journey started around 3 years back in Mumbai with 30 CIOs and today we have reached membership of more than 650 CIO/IT heads from all parts of India. It is a great pride to witness the opening of the 4th council in Bangalore, India's IT Capital," said Shirish Gariba, Secretary, CIO KLUB Governing council.

"There has been a revolutionary change in the use of Information Technology in Indian Enterprises across all verticals moving from the traditional EDP setup to a Strategic business enabler and CIO KLUB is a great platform for sharing knowledge," said N Nataraj, Secretary , Bangalore Council.

"The challenges we face today have created a need for a platform to have a stronger relationship between CIO community which in turn would benefit the CIOs and also their organisation," said Vikas Gadre, Vice President, CIO KLUB Governing Body.

The CIO KLUB is governed by a Governing body headed by the founder members and each council has Management committees to drive the KLUB objectives. "The objective of the club is to share and enhance knowledge using collective wisdom of CIOs globally and we are exploring the possibility to extend Councils outside India especially middle-east and Asia Pacific region," said Vilas Pujari, Joint Secretary, Governing body.
